Putin is also showing the world the results of corruption. His army is a shell of what it once was because everyone who had the power to do so, took the money. The soldiers are untrained and a lot of the equipment doesn't work.

The only threat Russia poses is that it is cruel and has no concern for the lives of its enemies, or even of its own citizens.

The question now is how much damage and loss of life will happen before everything collapses?

It is very sad that after thirty years, Russia tried to return to 1950. Maybe it will make the democracies wake up and push away their own drift toward lying autocrats. The US has certainly slipped in that direction, maybe this will help us recover.
