Actually, there is this law, passed after the Civil War, that says very cleawrly that anyone who tried to interfere with a government function, you know, like trying to withdraw from the union, or overtun and electon, cannot run for office.

Trump[really just wants to keep the idea that he will run alive so he can rasie money to pay his legal bills. He never paid them before, which is making it tough for him to get a lawyer.
