Biden knows that his election was due to the organizing and voting of urban Balck people. He is trying to bring Black voices into the the highest level of government. He obviously learned a lot working for Obama. He is really in a better position than Obama because White people are not so stunned by his election.

But all of those Black voices better keep the pressure on and advocate for the kinds of changes they need to see. There is always a temptation to try to win back the centrist White vote, which would certainly slow down any changes. I think the momentum is still strong for change, inclusion and equality. It’s time to let the South know that they lost the Civil War.
