Enough people on that plane realized that if they didn’t act things would be terrible for them and perhaps even worse for the country. If they did act, thing would be terrible for them, but they could probably save the lives of many, while also protecting our American institutions.

However, sadly, within a year America had fought to avenge the attack. but kept on fighting, in part because W. Bush thought it would increase his chances of getting reelected. That war, or whatever it was, finally was shut down last week.

Now, as you made clear, Republicans no longer feel that many of our American institutions, including fair elections, meets their needs. Power and greed, based upon lies, fears, and racism, is all of they stand for now.
