Ever since before the 2016 election i began to wonder, “Who are those people?”

After the election, which i still think was rigged in the swing states, we Eastern Elites were encouraged to “understand” the reasoning of our fellow Americans in the Red States. They did’t like us, and our achievements. They felt left behind and left out. Their jobs and their self-image had been sent over seas.

For four years I have tried to get any Trump supporter to explain their choice without call me names, without quoting the Fox News distortions, without bringing up Hillary, or without trying to tell me that the Constitution allows them to do anything to anyone, any time they wish.

The Trump Kool-Aide runs deep in their veins, and that is the end of the explanation. Are Trump voters, greedy, self-absorbed, racist, angry, lazy, lacking in compassion, suffering from too much peer-group pressure, or just enjoying making people upset? Well, yes. A few have all of those characteristics. A few have just one or two, and many are sweet, helpful people who feel that it is their role to follow the leader, even if it puts their lives in danger for his own benefit.

Whatever Putin did to help get Trump elected, he has gotten much more than even he could have wished for. Trump has kept the country divided, and angry, and now it is dysfunctional and going into a bad recession. We have lost our friends and allies. We have a terrible wealth and education gap, and our Federal Government is almost completely taken over by ignorance, greed and corruption. Anyone in the government who points that out get fired.

If we are still alive in November, we will see what America wants to be.
