For me, it started with the impeachment process against Bill Clinton. There was a lot of things that just seemed evil about that. The people who did it knew they didn’t have a chance of winning. They already had a case against Clinton they could use to disgrace him, but they took it so far that they disgraced the whole governing process.

It’s interesting that Kenneth Starr recently apologized tot he Clintons.

Once that political stance was taken the politics of no compromise began. No negotiations in good faith, no listening to the other side. It got bolstered by a lot of anger on talk radio and Fox News. Those remain the major sources for divisive, mean, personal speech. They also advocate racist and anti-immigrant positions. They also began trashing Hillary Clinton from the time she undertook to help design a health care plan in 1993. 90% of what they say about her is either false or distorted, but they continue to bash away at her.

Then came the Internet, and how easy it is to spew out derogatory, degrading, sexist and racist attacks, and to do it anonymously. There is a good chance this comment will draw some of those.

In my view Mr. Trump is a compulsive liar, who has no morals, and no idea of what he is talking about. He doesn’t know how our government works, or how to negotiate with Congress or with anyone else. He would love to be a dictator like Putin, but he isn’t smart enough. The worst thing about him is that he has no insight into any of his deficiencies. He immediately believes his own lies.

That’s my view. I would love it if someone would tell me why they disagree. If they could do it in a way that I can understand, without calling me names, and without just trashing on Mrs. Clinton.

I know people have been left behind. I know people didn’t like having a Black President and now having a woman seems even worse. I know the world has changed drastically and that’s been upsetting. But how anyone could really believe that a man like Trump could actually make their lives better, and not just make the economy worse for everyone, deprive us all of education, health care, a clean environment, social security, and equal opportunity, while creating trade wars, which would lead to giant inflation, creating real wars by being hyper sensitive, all while destroying the idea of democracy and freedom. I would love to hear about it.

Or is he just a big middle finger to the world?
