I am older than you, and I know how difficult it is to begin to see the world differently. Yet, so much has changed, just in the last decade, that it seems impossible not to feel that almost every aspect of our lives is different.

But now, a small group of corrupt, very rich people, many of whom made billions in the fossil fuel industry have realized that their time in power was passing. That made a bargain with the devil — Trump — who brought them the poor white, and often bigoted voters.

They know that they are an unelectable minority if there were fair elections.

ALSO: it is becoming very clear that the invasion of the Capitol was much more than a bunch of people who were misled by the President they admired. This was a carefully planned conspiracy to stop the counting of the electoral college and push the voting into Congress where Trump thought he could claim victory.

You are correct about the Republican Party, they are criminals.

I hope that soon there will be a time when we can discuss the merits of voting for conservatives vs. liberals, exchange reasonable differences of opinions, and learn from each other.
