I certainly agree with everything you said.

However, many people are paying a lot of money so that those lies will continue to told. They pay that money so that they continue to hold on to and expand their personal and corporate wealth. That is the only "freedom" in America that they care about.

Their kind of wealth imbalance cannot be maintained in a democracy, where most people expect some effort by the government to keep things relatively fair.

Their response, as you see, is to get rid of democracy. in America.

The greater problem now is that, due to a lot of spending, lobbying, legal, quasi-legal, and outright illegal maneuverings, five, maybe even 6 members of the Supreme Court also believe that protecting money is the most important role of government in America. Until last year, we thought we had the courts to stand as a check against the authoritarians. That is not longer true.
