I have not read the book, and probably won’t now that I have read six reviews of it.
He is one of the best in highlighting the anxieties we all feel about a future that seems to be spinning out of control.
In reality, in the moment, I was more disturbed by this from Sunday’s NYT:

It describes how kids, on TikTok, can pay to control someone’s actions, just for the fun of it.
Are they doing this just for money, attention, or are they just doing what kids, do, and what I did as a kid —- anything that will freak-out adults? Still, it doesn’t involve robots. Does that make it better or worse?
