I think you are missing a few beats here. This is just one example:
None of the MSM has reported these things as facts because they have all been disproven. Even Billy Barr admitted that.
What we seem to be running up against with many Trump voters is that Trump told them, long before the election happened, that he was not going to accept defeat. He has been lying, blustering and undermining democracy since then.
What we are experiencing is that many of his supporters are rushing to find someway, anyway, to believe him. This is an extreme, dangerous case of confirmation-bias. Or, as Paul Simon wrote years ago:
“Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest”
