In the past, most politician exaggerated, distorted, and “spun” the facts. Trump was different. Trump et al lied. They lied about everything. They invented “alternative facts.” Probably, even according to Trump’s doctors, 200,000 or so people died from the virus because of his lies.

While Trump was in office the Republicans allowed Trump to lie. They protected him from any consequences. Sydney Powell took Trump’s lies and broadcast them. Lying is free speech. Free speech has consequences, and she isn’t president. It can be clearly demonstrated that her lies cost those voting machine companies many dollars. They can sue her. They are also suing Fox News.

If Ms. Powell thought that no one would believe her, how did she act when she saw that many people were ready to take up arms based on what she said. She did nothing. She is responsible.

Trump is no longer president. He is now being investigated and sued in at least five different courts. We will have to see how it turns out. It may all come down to the kind of country Kavanaugh, Barrett and Roberts want America to be. That’s a pretty shaky bet.
