The 70 years of conflict between Israel and the Palestinians could end in two months if the rest of the world wanted it to happen. But this is a place in which everyone can have their proxy wars, while making money selling weapons. Right now, it is the US, NATO, and the Sunnis, fighting Iran, Russia, can China. The sides might changes a bit every 25 years, but no one really cares much about Jews or Palestinians.

Right now, even the Israelis are very divided about how to get this settled. The Palestinian population does’t really have much self-determination.
