It seems as if now, there are three types of Republicans —

1. The GOP, McConnell, Romney, Collins, Cheney and some others who just want VERY conservative, protect the rich, policies.

2. The malicious and manipulative: Cruz, Hawley, McCarthy who know first hand that Trump is crazy and destructive, but they want to capture his voters for their own profit and glory.

3. The really crazy, Nunez, Greene, and the others who are true believers in the racist, authoritarian world that Trump stands for.

Rationally, that coalition cannot last. But nothing has been rational in American politics for 25 years.
