My hope is that the Justice Department sees Rudy as the easy entry point to the entire Trump administration. At his confirmation hearing Garland said that he felt that the raid on the Capitol was a worse crime than the Oklahoma City bombing, and he was going to make sure those involved were prosecuted.

Trump knows he is road-kill and he sees the vultures circling. His only way out is to have his crazy followers reinstate him as president, or else for everyone to fear a civil war if he is indicted.

I don't think his heavily armed fanatical supporters would actually take a stand if they thought somoeone might be shooting back.
