My wife is a a late-onset Type-1. We are fortuante to have enough money to pay for the new equipment that has become available over the last few years. She wears a pod, and haas a glucose monitor that alerts her when she is high or low. I cam follower her sugar levels on my phone. We have gone to Canada 2x for fun, and to buy insulin.

She is in two support groups which are much more helpful than the doctors who don't have diabetes.

She figures she as to make at least 150 more decisions a day than someone who is not Type-1. Half the time it still needs to be corrected. We realized there are only about 80 variables that affect her blood sugar.
