But we do know what happens in our lives. We know people have gotten sick and died from COVID, because we know those people. We know when the vaccine will get distributed.
These days we can see the videos. We saw what happened to George Floyd. We saw the people who invaded the Capitol, smashing things and carrying weapons, even if those weapons were flag poles. I believe that people died in that struggle because every news source agreed on that.
We know how much we pay for medicine. We know how bad inner city schools are. We know that the bridge between Kentucky and Ohio has not been fixed for years. We know what the interest rate is if he want to borrow money.
Beyond those things we have to develop some trust in our institutions; our government, the press, the police, even the armed forces. They are here to serve and protect us. Of those four, only the press has to make a profit — except that’s not true for the Washington Post.
