Over the last hundred years, the main use of the filibuster has been to deny civil rights to minorities, mostly focusing on Black people, and voting rights. That reamins true today.

If the Dems don't get rid of ithe filibuster now, you can bet the Republicans will the next time they control the Senate. They have demonstrated that they have no regard for tradition, fairness, democracy or rules. It's all about power.
