Really, there is a lot of innovation, or at least exploration, even about energy sources and carbon reduction. These are being done at well-endowed universities, or labs that have private funding that are working on “hard problems.” A hard problem is one that needs to be solved but will probably take at least ten years to work out the engineering.

But these ideas no longer get government funding because the fossil fuel interests —Manchin+Republicans don’t want to slow the cash flow.

We are seeing many example of how the very wealthy, especially those in pharma and fossil fuels, really don’t mind if they kill people, as long as they keep their money rolling in.
