Sadly, it is not only men who condone these actions. There are still too many women who support the status quo, and who seem to feel that taking the abuse of aggressive men is part of what they need to do to get financial and physical protection.

One blatant example was on Fox News last year when Nancy Pelosi confronted Trump about one of his big lies in a meeting. He couldn’t take it, screamed back, and walked out. The women on Fox blamed Pelosi for the disruption. They said that she knew who she was dealing with so she needed to present herself differently, in a way he would find more acceptable.

Of course, men’a abuse is the woman’s fault. If women don’t want to suffer broken bones or even death, then they should keep their opinions to themselves, or perhaps learn the manipulative ways of obsequious flattery.

AOC is setting a fantastic example of how a woman who respects herself is not threatened by these bullies and cowards. The world will change due to her and the many more women who show that they value themselves.
