Sadly, your anger and fear of a crumbling America has led you to jump to some very unsound conclusions. This is almost as dangerous for America and democracy as the craziness of the Trump-truth-deniers.

All we know now about the man who blew himself up in Nashville was that he wanted to die. He told his neighbor that he also wanted to be famous, and that Nashville would never forget him.

In some ways he was a terrorist, but he went out of his way to minimize the damage to humans. He may have had some grudge against AT&T, but that isn’t clear. He may have had cancer and was dying anyway.

He may have voted for Biden, if he voted at all.

Trump has done many things in attempt to gain and keep power in ways that have flaunted the Constitution. He has also raised the general level of anger and discontentment in America, and around the world. But there was a lot of that before Trump. That’s how he got elected. There were mass shooting, suicides, overdoes, cop killings and domestic violence.

That’s not from fascism. It’s from too many people feeling alone, powerless, lost and angry. It’s from a society that encourages people to take care of themselves, but not necessary care about others.
