Thanks Mike,

I have been thinking about this since the turn of the century. Before I retired I gave several papers about how to use computerized algorithms to predict patient’t behaviors. I predicted the computers would be able to find patterns and make predictions that no clinician could. I got booed off the stage. It was a lot of fun.

What if all of our personal data was gathered by a personal AI database. Could we consult it before we made major decisions? Would it make predictions of probable outcomes? Would we want out governments doing this? It could’t get much worse.

What I found fascinating is that in 1909 E, M. Forrester wrote a novella that described a world that has been taken over by a machine. It’s a world in which almost everyone is content.
