There were many questions, and doubts, that I brought up with my own oncologist. She was able to bring these concerns up with her many colleagues at the well known and well regarded cancer center where she works.
We were all able to reach an agreement on which path to follow for my continuing treatment.
What is surprising is that there is so much hype about all these new cancer treatments, and in some areas there has been major progress in understanding how each different form of the disease works, and some progress in keeping people alive.
But still, killing cancer cells, once they begin to reproduce, is both difficult, painful and uncertain. Nothing is pain free or easy when treating cancer.
I imagine that the person whom you are recommending isa good doctor. I hope she isn’t promising more than she can actually deliver.
