The DOJ has serval difficulties that keep them from rounding up about 100 Republicans along with Trump and his co-conspirators. The biggest one is that he has to show the public that his case is so strong and damning that it is not political, not a witch hunt, and is totally necessary to save democracy.

To those of us who have been following the Select Committee, and reading WaPo, it seems that there is more than enough evidence. But the DOJ has to have real people who point their fingers, and other people who back them up. They have to have a case with serious enough charges that Trump will plea out because he will be facing 20 years in jail, and likely to be convicted. A trail will be a shitshow, and who knows who will be on a jury?

But still, we need indictments before the summer. They have to be out there before the mid-term elections.
