The entire premise of our economic system has proven wrong. We have been promised constant economic growth. More things for everyone means more money for everyone, so they can buy more things. Except we have used up most of our resources, and the ones we have left are making things worse. But constant growth requires more energy. We used to have an energy policy based on slavery. Then, since the slaves didn't like that system, we switched to coal, gas and oil. That has led to burning Hawaii down. I hope you are safe where you are.
