This Supreme Court views the laws of the US from the same lens of the Supreme Court in 1880. Those were the years when Jim Crow laws were allowed to stand, and the newly freed people in the US were thought to need time to mature.

This court clearly believes that rich people are more important than poor people, regardless of color. Even for the devoutly Christian, A.C. Barrett, money is god. If Black people get to vote, they are going to find ways to redistribute wealth and offer equal opportunities in society. That will cut into the investments and profits of the rich. It may also protect more people from being exploited. The Supreme Court has never approved of anything that threatened profits.
