Time condenses, time stretches. From a longer perspective it seems to roll over us, unstoppable.

When your days are really numbered, but you don’t know what the number is, you realize that you just have to let it flow.

When one friend died last year from cancer, and another this year from a heart attack, and one is going into the hospital for three weeks of chemo to maybe keep her alive, and you already have two friends on dialysis, and you are three years past your own treatments for cancer…

Poof! Gone.
