Trump has no defense against the crime of stealing top-secret documents. He did it. He didn't want to give them back. He got caught.

We worry about why he took them, but that really doesn't matter.

His only defense is to threaten to destroy national and international stability, kind of like Putin, except Trump doesn't have the nuke button any more.
