Underneath the Big Lie, is the Bigger Lie, that the Republicans need to keep the votes of the crazies, the bigots, the anti-vaxxers, the anti-abortionists, and the rugged, gun-toting individualists, in order to have enough votes in at least one branch of the legislature so that the rich and super-wealthy never have to pay taxes.

The people who pay for all this messaging really don’t give a damn about whether the low paid, replaceable workers are white, Black, brown or green. But if they keep spreading the message that any government program will only benefit the undeserving Black folk and immigrants, then they can continue to limit the power of the Federal Government: no taxes, no regulations, no public health protections, no recognition that our living environment is becoming unlivable, no healthcare, and no safety net.

As the signs at Tea Party and then Trump rallies said: “Keep the government away from my Social Security!” A true believer, with no understanding of what he’s talking about.
