We have shrunk the world. Whether we want to or not, we have all become co-dependent. Many of us have begun to recognizer this and are willing, eager in fact, to negotiate and cooperate. We realize that unless we do, everyone will suffer, even the rich who live on high ground.

There remains a large minority who are stuck fighting the battles and harboring the grievances of the 20th Century. There are enough of them that they hinder every attempt to solve most of the problems you describe. But, if those of us who study, strive, innovate, create and finally do build some kind of livable solution, they will be eager to benefit from the changes while saying that these were never problems of concern, no one should be rewarded, and that they don’t want to pay the bill.
