Well, Good luck with this one, too.
Here is the thing: life is tough, and it’s unstructured. We are born with some kind of genetic predispositions, then we learn a lot, both good and bad, from the families we find ourselves in. Next, we find out we are part of some culture that shapes our behavior.
Really, we don’t get to choose any of those. At some point in our lives most of us begin to ask a few questions, such as: “What am I doing here? Why?”
Guess what? There is no answer to those questions that is correct for everyone. The realization of that frightens and confuses a lot of people.
There are lots of guides and guidebooks, from the various sacred scriptures, to self-help, to psychotherapy to Catch -22.
So, Be Yourself! But wtf does that mean, especially when you don’t know who you are or what you’re supposed to be?
My advice: walk around, keep your eyes open, learn what makes you happy, learn who makes you happy, make them happy.
ALSO: Never take advice from a stranger on the Internet!
