Would Putin push the button? That's the big question. He likes to act as if it would be no problem for him. He has already shown that he is willing to send a generation of Russian men to get slaughtered. If NATO felt that he is only bluffing about nukes the US would give Ukraine the weapons it needs to blow up all the Russian war-making factories, military bases, and a few bridges and highways to make the Russian people suffer 1/4 of what the Ukrainians endure. That would end the war.
